Crate Paper - LOVE IT!

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I hope that everyone's week is going well! I have to admit, I'm a little nervous; tonight, I will be giving my very first lesson plan in class tonight. It should be fun though - it's going to be a science lesson plan for 2nd graders using pumpkins :). I went and bought all of my supplies yesterday and man, can you find some cool and cheap stuff at the Dollar Tree. There was even a whole isle dedicated to teacher supplies. Can't wait to have my own classroom so that I can pick out and put up all of the fun stuff :). For now, I just need to rock out my lesson plan - wish me luck!

As for creative schtuff - I'm sharing a layout I created using the new Crate Paper line. Don't you just love the mix of colors - super fun... Here is a closer look....

I actually tried a new technique with this layout and did some fussy cutting around the flowers using a SUPER sharp blade. It was fun and I am super happy with the results, but looking for other ideas on what I should fussy cut and use on layouts - would love to hear any ideas that you might have!

Have a great day everyone!

Really pretty!:)

I love fussy cutting...I use scissors though...I buy patterned paper based on how I can cut the designs out...I like to create little "scenes"...use pop dots for some dimension.

So pretty! I don't know how you find the time to do all that you do! Hope your lesson went well! I'm sure you did awesome! It's hard putting yourself out there like that in front of adults rather than children.

gorgeous LO, casey!! I do a ton of handcutting, but I use sharp scissors primarily - sometimes I have to use a blade for the small inside pieces. I mostly handcut large floral prints :-) Hope your lesson went well!
