Putting it all Together

Happy Friday everyone - I'm ready to put this week in the books and move on to happier days - that is for darn sure! Before all of the chaos began this week, I started and finished a fun little project. I sent off 29 digital layouts for printing. I've only done this once before and was really happy with the post-production of Scrapping Simply. I paid $1.99 per 12x12 print and quality was fantastic! As much as I love creating digital layouts, I absolutely adore holding them in my hands and putting them in my scrapbooks. Here is a shot of what I saw after opening the box....yay!
This next pic is all of the traditional layouts that I've been waiting to merge into a scrapbook. Overall I ended up adding 62 layouts into PJ's scrapbooks... The funny part was that I have just been scrapping all of the pics that I like and once I got them into actual scrapbooks, I realized that I scrapped over 30 layouts for last July - yikes! I need to keep better count so that I can make the most use of my time...Still about a year behind on scrapping, but I hope to play some catch up :)
So for those of you who are digital scrappers - do you print and if so, what's your post-production process and do you have a "go-to" company that works well for you? For those of you who are traditional layout/card makers - how do you draw the line on how many layouts you make for a certain time frame - or if you are not a chronological scrapper, how do you keep it all together? I would love to hear your thoughts!

On a sidenote, thanks for all of your sweet comments on the last post - it's really awesome to have the support from my friends - hope you all have a safe and fun weekend!

I am not a digital scrapbooker. However, I do hope to learn soon! Right now, i have lots of pages that need homes. I guess I should be working on this.(:
Have a great weekend!

Wow - lady, you've been busy!! Not a digi scrapper here (I just do digi stamps) - so I can't answer your question, but would be nice to know what others do!

There is NOTHING like opening your mailbox to find prints of your work! :) YAY!

I have a sort of system. I have folders for each of my projects. I try to upload them to Shutterfly when I complete them so, just in case my hard drive crashes (knock on wood), I can still get prints of my work. I print projects as bound works. So, I have a book for each year for each child. I have worked on mini-projects and follow the same logic- a folder for each layout with a basic naming structure which allows me to ID the files by date. (Initial_YR#_Date)
I'm debating about trying a print service like Persnickety Prints or just the 12x12/8x8 prints available from Shutterfly so that I can know that I won't lose anything in the binding. That's the only issue I have to date.
I do 8x8 books for the yearly editions and small projects, then 12x1 for projects where photos are more landscape or site-seeing ish, like our trip to Germany in 2007.

I'll have to try sending for prints too! I usually print them at work, but can only print 11x11. Thank for your sweet comments on my blog!

WOW girl! You have totally been scrapping away! I stopped scrapping chronological several years ago, I knew I would "never catch up" and it drove me nuts. Now I just scrap the photos I want to.
