A little bit of this and a little bit of that!

I'm excited to say, that I've been working on a lot of fun projects lately with some really great people. I'm hopeful to be able to share some fun and creative stuff with you all within the next week - so stay tuned :).

Last night, Jake and I attended a function to help raise money for the senior services center in our area. I have to be honest, after a long day at work and driving all around like a crazy person to get PJ all settled so that I could come back into town for an event, was not really my idea of a fun time. However, once I arrived and settled in, it really reminded me of the importance of getting out and helping others. You just never know when it might be you who needs a helping hand...So if you haven't done something like that in a while - I would encourage you to do it - it doesn't take a lot of time, but it's well worth the effort. And as people say, every little bit helps :).

Okay, on to creative happenings - I was so inspired when we got back last night, that I worked on a quick digi LO to share. I used another fun kit from the Little Dreamer Designs Apprentice Program . I did some mix and matching on this one. I started out using a Vinnie Pearce's placid paper for the background, and the bulk of the kit was created by Novita Designs. In addition, I used the magical embellishments created by Brenna Coleman.

I was mostly inspired to use this kit because of the colors, but also because of the beautiful monarchs that were included in the kit. Last fall, our family visited a Monarch Way Station and had such a fun time. For those of you who may not be familiar with with that is, it's basically a resting ground for all of the butterflies that are migrating back to our area to lay their eggs. It's really a pretty cool process and there were tons of butterflies fluttering around :). Below is my LO comemorating the event...

I took a lot of really great pictures, so I'm actually planning on incorporating another LO, but didn't really want to feel confined to using a 2 pager for this project...putting that one together this weekend, so I will have more to share soon!
Happy Friday Everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Great layout! I'm just like you when it comes to going out. By the time I'm finished work, and I've done my running around, and arrangements have been handled... I'm tired, and I'd rather just stay in. But once I get there, it's so nice to be able to get out and maybe make a small difference out there. So good for you!
