The birthday party was great - we had a lot of friends and family there which was really special for all of us. Thank you so much to all of you who were there with us! Peyton Jo had a great time too - we had several little kids who were able to come celebrate with her (McKenna Swank, Ali Peterson, and Livi Storey). She did a great job with her cake and once she realized how good it tasted she really stuck her hands in it. By the time she was done, she was covered in frosting, which really looked more like mustard - she was a really great sport. She wasn't really sure what to think about all of us singing Happy Birthday to her though; she had a really funny look on her face and just looked at all of us like "what are you weirdos doing." :). Overall, she had a lot of fun and ended up getting some really great gifts. It was a really special day!
She is such a big girl now that she's one - here are a few of the new things she's started doing in the past week:
Sleeping through the night - and sleeping in her crib :)
Down to 1 bottle a day just before bedtime - drinking half milk/half formula
Completely off baby food and now eating what we're eating
Crawling in her cute little way (sort of like a monkey crawl :))
Cruising on the furniture
Saying a lot of new words almost too many to keep track of these days :)
I think she's now getting her 8th tooth on the bottom right
Riding frontwards in the car seat - she loves being able to see us in the rear view mirror!
