Projects, transition, school and closure :)

So.... this is basically what my kitchen table looks like right now... I have so many projects going right now that they are spilling out of my craft room into other areas of the house. The project I'm really hoping to accomplish this weekend is our 30th birthday minibook...Yes, I know, I'm actually 31, so I'm a little behind on my scrapping, but I've told you all about that. Anyways, hoping to get that done - I'm really needing some creative therapy this week.

Today, at work, my co-workers threw me a going away party. And man, it was nice, but I was a whole lot more emotional about it than I thought I would be... I've been so ready to move on, but it's kind of bitter sweet leaving because I am really going to miss some of the people. Other people...not so much. I just feel a real loyalty to this place after being here for almost six years that I just got overwhelmed with emotion...I will miss some of the work too, but I'm mostly just ready to take a break and ready to step back from all of the stress and responsibility that I've carried with me for the past few years...

And well, I also need to be working on a six page paper that is due Monday that discusses the difference between Dewey and Counts, but I'm not quite ready to tackle that... I'm more of a last minute procrastinator when it comes to writing papers... I like to do it all the day before - ironically enough, I tend to write better under pressure :)

But for this evening, I'm hoping to go for a long run, spend some quality time with my family and spend a few hours scrapping... Wish me luck...

And tomorrow... will be my last day at work and time for some closure...

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a good day...
