My First Samples

I've got a few fun things to share today. First of all, so excited that my LO "Don't Drink The Water" won the A Million Memories color combo challege that was up during the National Scrapbooking Day Event. You can read about it on their blog here. Basically, the challenge was to use a particular combination of colors in your LO. I had so much fun using my October Afternoon "Fly a Kite" papers and embellies - it's such a fun and pretty line.

In other news, I'm also excited to be sharing my first samples that I've made (ever) for my local scrapbooking store - The Scrapbook Page. I love the idea of helping others be creative by showcasing new lines of paper and I also love the idea of getting to know some of my local scrappers too! For these projects, my task was to utilize the BG Max and Whiskers line. I chose to showcase the thought that even though the line is centered on animals you can definitley just use it for everyday scrapping as well. Here are some shots of those samples:
For this sample, I was simply given a a transparency by Pink Paislee and asked to make something cool - so here's what I made. As you can see, I altered some flowers using a couple different paints and techniques. I also was able to use some of the new Tim Holtz accoutrements. So much fun!
As part of the creative process, I was keeping notes on my evaluation of the different types of paints/sprays, so stay tuned for a product review in the near future.

Hope everything is peachy with all of my scrappy friends - take care!

Love these pages, especially that one at the top--I have a penchant for BG bloomers (although I actually don't have any....must work on them). Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, and congrats on winning the challenge! That's awesome!
