Wondering Wednesday - Camera Pick

So, I've been wrestling with the idea in my head on getting a new camera. Right now I use a point and shoot and it does a fine job under great circumstances (outdoor lighting, rooms with good light, ect.). However, most of the time that I'm shooting the everyday shots, I'm not typically taking pics in the best lighting. Also, as many of you know, I have a subject that moves A LOT and trying to take a still shot requires a lot of patience and most of my pictures end up blurry because of movement from me and movement from my little one away from the camera. Which leads me to my weekly question for "Wondering Wednesdays..."

What is your camera of choice and what are the pros and cons of that specific camera?

I'm hoping that you guys can point me in the right direction. I've done some research, but the minute I start reading about all of the camera jargon, my head starts to spin :). Would love to hear what your recommendations are on this. Thanks so much in advance to those of you who leave a response!

For today, I'm sharing a traditional LO that I made using lots of fun stuff - please click on the LO for full credits. This picture was taken of my scrapping friend Katey and I while we were doing some shopping at the Creating Keepsakes Convention last fall. We had so much fun that day! Can't wait to do it again!

Here is a close-up of some of the fun goodies that I used for the layers...

Don't you just love that little pebble!

As always, thanks for stopping by! Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Oooh - way cool layout!

On cameras, I LOVE my simple DSLR Canon EOS Rebel XS. More specifically, I love the 50 mm lens I got for it. :)

Awesome layout and I DO love that pebble!!!

I love my Canon Digital XTI Rebel. If you want to be sure to really get what you want do a google search for DSLR comparison ....Good luck with your choices! THere's a lot to choose from! I've heard that Nikon is better for clarity and sharpness while Canon is softer but more colorful.......here's a consumer review comparison:
