Yesterday was an excellent example of this. So, Friday after taking Peyton to Topeka to the Polar Ice Cap for our Friday Funday, we ended up heading home later in the evening. Upon our return, I forgot to turn off an interior light in my car... And since I didn't end up driving at all this last weekend, well, my car battery died. Of course, I didn't figure this out until I went to start my car for the day and realized we would need to make alternate plans. So I called our local car care center and they told us that with my style of car (a Prius), it's probably better to charge the battery. So they let us borrow the charge FREE OF CHARGE! Can you believe that? Jake just went and picked it up and we charged the car and then took it back. You would NEVER find that in a larger city, unless you knew the owner. I am just so happy with the level of customer service and care they take in helping their customers. It just completely made my day!
Living in a small town also has other fun perks and that's what my December Daily highlights in my blog post today... This year, they had their first Festival of Lights Parade + Meet and Greet with Santa.
It was really cool, because it was all at night, so they decorated floats with lights and had a small parade downtown, which was great because it was coooolllld.
They even sent out these cool flyers to us in the mail, which of course I love!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, everyone!
